Part A Coinsurance and Hospital Costs Medicare pays for the first 60 days of a hospital stay after the Part A deductible. In 2026 you would otherwise pay $434 a day for days 61-90 and $868 a day for lifetime reserve days.Plan G covers 100%.
Part B Coinsurance or Copayment Without this benefit, you generally pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for Part B services such as doctor visits and outpatient care.Plan G covers 100%.
